Is there a good barber anywhere in Sosua or Cabarete who speaks english and can cut men's hair without leaving you looking like a shaved coconut? Thanks

sorry, didn't mean to be flippant. barbers here tend to shave rather than cut and aren't used to foreign hair types. There are foreign hairdressers here, but they tend to lurk rather than open up shop. Hair today - gone tomorrow types.

Jose on Calle David Stern; the street west of Super Super. About 200 feet from Pedro Clisante on the left side. Jose speaks some english, good enough for me and my gringo hair. I see that his place is "marked" on Google Earth so you can see the place and Jose.

What is you hair type? gringo or negro?

I also recommend Jose. Unlike other local barbers I have tried, he can actually cut hair other than ultra-short!

You could try Ordris Salon... opposite Villa Flor in Calle Pedro Clisante not far from Super Super (Salon for Men & Women)

Ordris cuts hair really well and she speaks English !
