DO you know about Arne and Elsa? They live about 10 minutes from Sosua on the way to Puerto Plata. They have been rescueing dogs over the years and have over 50.
From what I understand they are in their 80's and have been taken advantage of by some Dominicans and lost all their money. The dogs are getting fed every 3 days now and the people are out of food too.
The people are so sad about not having food for their dogs. It's very very bad. People are trying to get it on television but nothing yet. I worry that every day that goes by dogs are starving.
can someone adopt a dog/cat? I have 17 dogs already!!!!

Dr. bob is excellent..he is next to the gas station in sosua, across from ocean village...also there is judys pet lodge, they may help...good good luck...

isn't there anybody out there who can adopt at least one? I have already 17 dogs and cats and fish and birds and more...........dogs are best friends, much better than watchman, don't sleep or drink, no vacation money or liquidation, in the end even cheaper and more reliable...

I was allowed to post ALL THE DOGS for adoption and info on the cats in the classified pets section with pics. Thank you Dominican Central! Thanks for helping Andrea!! We have till Oct 31st to find homes for them.

Can you please tell us where they are? We really want to help, maybe not in a big way but gas refills, food for themselves and pets, cleaning products, anything! Please let us know. If everybody does a little, this amazing couple could be up and on their feet again, doing what they do best, looking after all the much needy abandoned animals, considering taking another abandoned pet, we have 3 already and they make the most devoted pets you could ever wish for, they know and are so grateful, you get fully rewarded. many people adopted, some pets went to Santiago, many of us brought food for them and the pets..latest I don't know, heard they moved with only a few dogs..
