we lieve long time in Costambar. Its very nice beach, all in walking distance. We have a supermarket, small but all you need is there. Fresh bread, fruits, meet...
We have Farmacy, Restaurants and in 5 min. you are in Puerto Plata. Its good.

depends what you are looking for. It's pretty quiet there - a lot of retirees - very different in feel to say Cabarete.
Are you going to live there full time and what will you be doing - makes a big difference on where you buy.

Costambar is trying to revive itself. Many properties are run down. It is a pretty beach, but also a distance from other areas. If you are hooked on the north coast you might want to look at Sosaua and Cabarete. We live between the two. We also sell real estate here so let me know if i can help
