My name is Brain. I'm from United States and planning to tour DR next month with some friends and family. I wanted to know if there is a Casino that is scheduled to open on this Saturday (October 24th)? The one which I'm looking for is called 'Sosua Bay Resort Casino'. It's really important for me to know this as my other option is Las Vegas. If yes, what you guys think will be tbe turnout at the opening. Ruby Perez is supposed to perform tomorrow at the opening. Is this true? I wanted to know how good this Casino is.

Sorry can't help you about the Sosua Bay casino. I heard they were opening soon, but not heard much else - you would think if they were opening this month you'd see some publicity?
If they are not open when you arrive there are several other casinos in the vicinity.

It is opening tonight (Oct 24). Tonight is a VIP invite only event and Ruby Perez is suppose to have a concert. It should be a good time.

Casino is being run by known criminals with very shady backgrounds. Dominica has no Casino Gaming Commission so don't even bother playing the slots.. Hardly anybody showed up for the Grand Opening. I don't have a good feeeling about this.

No the Casino grand opening is tonight and the door opens at 7 P.M , its too early now. I have got invitation to the opening so I will let know tomorrow if it all looks good and if I am sober. Dominica has other casino places you can go to but I have heard this one will be different and bigger like the americanos style. I have heard some major celebs are turning up tonight.Does anyone have anymore tickets, couple of friends are interested to buy with extra cost..

This is just another Mob Run Dominican Casino that will drain the tourists of all there money and yet the profits will never make it to the balance sheets. All of the Dominican Officials have been "greased" and will look the other way. The tables will be "closed" if a "player" is winning. Typical Dominican Casino SOP.

why are you talking about balance sheet , amigos? does it matter for you about the balance sheet of this casino. Dominica is my country and I love my country. Stop calling our people criminal. We have 4 major casino in Dominica all are full nearly every day. You need to book or reserve at least one week before to enter unless you are VIP. This one one opening today will be the biggest in Dominica , a lot of people applied for jobs position from my home town. I am still confused why you hate this new casino and you are talking about balance sheet? wht is your intention?? I am off now to enjoy tonight at the grand casino Sosua Bay Resort.
