The worldwide recession affects everyone, the DR is having mixed effects because we are a different kind of market. We are still developing real estate here, and it is far safer to invest here than in the States or Europe right now. Prices are down, which is good for investors but not as low as in other countries that are more severely hit as they are not tourist destinations like us. Check www.goldenkeymanagement.com for price relation of real estate in the north coast, it is still a strong value for investing.
