This includes the infamous Puerto Rican, Jos David Figueroa Agosto and Sobeida Flix Morel as well as their associate Ramn Antonio del Rosario Puente (Too Lea).

The National District Attorney's office has 975 people registered as fugitives who have been declared in default by the courts. It is estimated that the Prosecutor of Santiago has approximately 1,400 defendants who have evaded prosecution.
Over 70% of those charged in 'absentia' were facing charges for violation of Law 50-88 on drugs and controlled substances. The web site of the National Police lists 14 people missing who are accused of murder, kidnapping, robbery, assault and other crimes.
The situation has forced the Santiago Prosecutor, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, to create a special team dedicated to the recapture of the runaways. Personnel for this new division have been drawn from Cibao Central Police.
The National District Prosecutor Alejandro Moscoso Segarra, explained that law enforcement and intelligence agencies spend a lot of time seeking people who have pending court cases. He complained that the judicial process is hampered and slowed by the non-appearance of offenders at their cases.
Evading justice at the moment are Cubans, Carlos, Jos and Luis Bentez, who are accused of defrauding the U.S. Medicare. Also the Spaniard Ricardo Diez Conde, who is also wanted in his own country.
Other fugitives listed on the web site of the National Police are Luis Enrique Cabral de los Santos, George Taveras Hernndez and Juan Crisstomo Girn Prez, accused of the kidnapping of Julio Csar Color de los Santos on September 6, 2005 in the capital. This crime also resulted in the death of the young Juan Carlos Guillen.
