3 Italians arrested in Bayahibe on drugs charges

Police officers assigned to the Dominican Interpol, arrested three Italians in La Romana yesterday. The men were caught with an amount of what was alleged to be cocaine and one of them is said to be wanted in Rome on international drug trafficking charges.
Police said those arrested were; Lucas Finocchiaro, 33, Pierluigi Federico, 42, and Gennaro Funari Bruno, 62, who will be sent to the migration department for deportation.
A police report states that the three foreigners were arrested in calle Colorado in Bayahibe, La Romana, and, as well as the suspected drug, they also impounded, two vehicles, and three phones.
Police said the three Italians arrested admitted that the confiscated substance was for their own consumption, and a fake identity card in the name of Canova Giabnprieto was seized. from Gennaro Bruno. The police report adds that Lucas Finocchiaro is wanted by the authorities in Rome investigating the international trafficking of prohibited substances.
