3 violent deaths at the weekend in Sosua and Cabarete

The first victim was named as Javier Pantalen from Camino del Sol, East of Cabarete. He died from multiple head wounds after his Honda jeep collided with a Toyota driven by Wilfredo Cortorreal Cabrera from la Union. The accident happened on the west side of Sosua, near the entrance to the beach and police are still investigating the cause.
The other two victims were identified as Rafael Gonzalez Martinez, 32, from la Loma del Chivo, Sosua and Francisco Alberto Portes Ramrez (Pingo), 35, who lived in Los Charamicos, Sosua.
Gonzlez Martnez died, according to the medical examiner, Dr. Freddy Salazar as a result of blunt trauma to the head and a stab wound in the abdomen, allegedly after being attacked by persons named as Anthony, Pablito and Yasmin, who escaped and are still at large.
Pingo Portes Ramirez died according to Dr. Salazar, due to wounds on various parts of his body, caused by unknown individuals in a white car who drove off after the attack.
According to information gathered on the scene, the deceased was involved, allegedly, in the sale of narcotics. The victim had a police record for robbery in 2005.
