54 Per cent of Colombians does not agree with re-elect Santos

A 54 per cent of Colombians is not agreed to re-elect President Juan Manuel Santos, while 64% of citizens have a "favourable perception" of the head of the State, according to the results of a survey released yesterday.

35% Yes is for a re-election of Santos and 11% "does not know or does not respond, according to the survey of the so-called Media Alliance, formed by RCN Radio, RCN TV, the FM station and the week magazine.

The survey also shows that 64 per cent of Colombians have a "favourable perception" of Saints, 29% have an unfavorable opinion and 7% not believed sobe this affair.

In the previous poll from the same company, disclosed in July, the favorable perception regarding the ruler was greater: 71%.

To the question of whether the respondent is satisfied with the work of Santos as President, 60% % answered Yes, 33% negative and 7% did not respond.

The u000adegree of satisfaction of Saints also dropped since last July, since then it was 68%.

The survey by the firm Ipsos Napoleon Franco for the Media Alliance, asked about other matters as the legalization of drugs, to which it is agreed a 79 per cent of Colombians, or the technical selection Colombian football, Leonel Alvarez, who is backed by 41%.

The character with better image on Colombia is the Commander of the national police, general Oscar Naranjo, with 73% of views favorable.

Former President Alvaro Uribe reached 61% and the current Vice-President, Angelino Garzón, 59% of image favourable.

Both general Naranjo and former President Uribe went a point since the survey from last July, while Vice-President Garzón rose three points.

The survey also consulted on the image of institutions and the armed forces led the results with a 73 % u000afavourable, followed by the national police (68%), the Catholic Church (67%), the Supreme Court of Justice (51%), media (49%), the Constitutional Court (47%) and Congress (35%).

The guerrilla army of national liberation (ELN) and revolutionary armed forces of Colombia (FARC), with 89 and 99%, respectively, are award organizations with worse image, followed by the so-called criminal gangs (bacrim), with 88 per cent of unfavourable opinions, and paramilitary groups of the far right, with 86%.

These percentages are no modifications to the previous poll.

The survey was carried out from 26 to 29 November interviews 1.009 people from urban areas of 13 municipalities representative of populations more than 200,000 people, a margin of error of 3.1 per cent and a rate of 95% confidence.
