5 sub-standard health clinics closed

The Public Health Ministry has closed five clinics for operating below the established quality standards.
Bautista Rojas Gomez, the Health Minister, explained that they violated the General Health Law 42-01 and Regulation 1138, which controls medical clinics. 
He warned that his Ministry takes public safety seriously and any health center that does not conform to the relevant standards will be closed.
The Minister said the clinics which had been closed were: Centro Unin Mdica Oriental, (Antigua Clnica doctor Pieter), in Los Minas, Santo Domingo; the Consultorio Mdico Jos Antonio Cruz Guerrero; Consultorio Mdico Doctor Caccavelli; Doctora Jos dental clinic and the Doctor Martnez medical center for obstetrics, all in Samana.
