Adogranja calls to halt imports

The Association of farms Porcinas (Adogranja) yesterday denounced the import indiscriminate pieces and offal of bird that are used as main substitutes of pork in the production of sausages which are consumed by the population.

Imports of goods, said its executives, exceeded in 2010 the 18,000 metric tons, while the projection in relation to the current year is overcome the 18,500 tonnes, situation that is causing losses to the national pork sector by RD$ 500,000,000 every six months.
