Alleged embezzlement case at Edenorte

The Magistrate's Court in Puerto Plata has issued coercive measures against two employees of Edenorte for the diversion of bank deposits.
Jacqueline Yesenia Reyes Valerio and cashier Nuvi Elizabeth Veras Kingsley have already been sacked by the company and the court now has six months to decide on the merits of a trial.
Executive Vice President of the Dominican Energy Consortium (CDEEE), Celso Marranzini said that he exercised zero tolerance in state utilities to employee theft.
"Regardless of the level, employees of CDEEE, Edenorte, EdeEste, Edesur, ETED and EGEHID who commit any kind of fraud wall be dismissed without contemplation and brought to justice," said Marranzini.
