Ambassadors said the OAS "dies" of natural causes

"The OAS is dying of natural causes and has lost its historical validity", was sentenced yesterday ambassadors of Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Bolivia.

Ambassadors Alfredo Murga, of Venezuela; Alexis Bandrich, of Cuba; Carlos López Damm, Ecuador; Rosa Edilia Vizcaya, Nicaragua; and María Teresa Lavayen, consul general of Bolivia, held a joint press conference in which he attacked the policy of the Organization of American States (OAS).

Pointed out that the newly created community of Latin American countries and Caribbean (CELAC) is a body which brings together 33 countries with more than 500 million people with a spirit of solidarity, and that looks to improve the conditions of the countries in the area. Murga said that the Mission of CELAC is not the removal of the Organization of American States (OAS), that he will die of natural causes "and if anything we can help a little to die".
