American arrested for making pornographic films

An American who was part of a network making pornographic movies using children and older people in Puerto Plata was arrested by officers of the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations of the National Police.

William Bonaparte, 67 years old, was arrested in his apartment  in Joel, Puerto Plata. Officials say they seized six bags of marijuana weighing 128.3 grams, pornographic pictures, phones, a video player, a video camera, photographic lighting equipment, two laptops, and two videotapes.

In addition, they found more than RD$70,000 in cash in various envelopes, a memory card, a massager, several boxes of condoms and documents with women's names and numbers.

Domingo Antonio Belliard, assistant general prosecutor, and prosecutors Miltra V. de la Cruz and Kelvin Dur�n from the Protection Service for Children and Adolescents in Puerto Plata, accompanied the police.

At the time of his arrest, Bonaparte was with Mar�a N��ez Morales, 21; Yanira Mart�nez, 30, and Cintia Isabel de la Cruz ,21.
