American shot dead in Luperon

An American tourist was shot and killed by a Dominican on Saturday night in Luperon.

According to the information provided by the National Police, the American, Ricardo Tucker, 35, was at a birthday party with a Dominican girl,  Marlene Disla, when her former boyfriend arrived. Erickson Est�vez apparently shot Tucker twice in the abdomen and fled with his ex-girlfriend.

Police have not revealed the exact location of the incident and are now searching for the assailant.

The American�s body has been sent to Regional Institute of Forensic Pathology in the city of Santiago.
