Another US$261 million in loans approved

The Senate approved Tuesday four loans totaling more than US$261 million for the construction of the Duarte corridor and the Peravia aqueducts.
These include US$52.7 million agreed between the Dominican State and the Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimiento Econmico y Social (BNDES ) and another two of US$49.8 million and US$13 million between the State and Banco Espaol de Crdito S.A (BANESTO).
In the session on Tuesday, the Senator for Peravia, Wilton Guerrero, asked for support from his colleagues for the loans to assist in providing drinking water to the province .
