Beyoncé gives birth to her first daughter, to be called Ivy Blue Carter

Singer Beyoncé Knowles has given birth to her first daughter and music producer and rapper Jay-Z, which will be named Ivy Blue Carter, as various media reported yesterday Americans.

According to these reports, the girl would be born by caesarean section at a hospital in New York last night, and both mother and daughter are in perfect state of health.

The name of the baby has been unveiled by the father to his friends, reports the website of the television show E!, though neither parent has officially confirmed the news.

Tejano singer joined the private area of the New York's Lenox Hill hospital under the supposed name of Ingrid Jackson in the Saturday evening.

Friends of the couple have already started to congratulate them through the social network "Twitter".

Beyoncé and Jay-Z were married in April 2008 and the singer announced her pregnancy in full performance during the award ceremony of the MTV last August.
