Kreh David, 27 years old, was interrogated for three hours by officers of the Airport Security Specialist Corps (CESA), headed by General Pedro Rene Valenzuela Quiroz, and then handed over to the National Police.
The Israeli was arrested at two in the afternoon attempting to board the American Airlines flight l582 for New York, which eventually departed nearly 5 hours late.
After check in at American Airlines, Kreh David went to Immigration, and declared to inspectors that, as well as his Israeli passport, he also held an Italian passport. The refusal of the immigration agents to check for any irregularity, angered David, who started shouting that an explosive device had been checked in his luggage and would explode in the aircraft.
The ensuing panic among passengers brought the security services to the scene and David was arrested by CESA agents and Politur while his luggage was identified and searched. However, nothing dangerous was found.
Kreh David remains in custody while investigations continue into his behavior and background.
