Brazil assisted at start of Pinochet's dictatorship

The Folha de S. Paulo newspaper noted that 266 confidential telegrams generated by Brazilian diplomats between 1973, year of the coup that brought Pinochet to power, and 1976 realize the Brazilian support to the fledgling military Government.
Brazil was also under a dictatorship military from 1964 to 1985. The Associated Press consulted with the Ministry of foreign Brazil Relacioadmines on the veracity of the telegrams attributed to the unit but initially had no answer.
Brazilian aid began in November 1973, two months after the coup of State Pinochet with the shipment of 50 million dollars to the Central Bank of Chile.
