The foreigners were identified as John Hill, Peter Terence McLeod and Kevin Thomas O'Hagan. After their arrest, all three were handed over to the DNCD, together with the seized narcotics.
Hill was arrested as he prepared to board the Thomas Cook flight 65L, bound for Gatwick, England. Suspicions were raised as his bags passed through the X-ray scanners. Seven packages of white powder presumed to be cocaine or heroin, with an approximate weight of 4.25Kg, were found, said CESA.
O'Hagan and McLeod were arrested while attempting to board a different flight, Thomson Fly flight 39, also bound for Gatwick, England. Their luggage contained six packets of a white powder, also presumed to be cocaine or heroin, weighing 2.88Kg.
