Buddhist teacher calls to support charity

La Fundación Tzu Chi has five million volunteers worldwide and assists people in their calamities or natural disasters, build schools and hospitals, donates food and promotes the recycling of waste solids.
In the La Romana Province established a school for children, and develops awareness campaigns in schools and community groups, to teach craft products made through the recycling of waste.
The venerable teacher, which is called the "Mother Teresa of the Asia", received in audience the Director of the newspaper LISTÍN, Miguel Franjul, and his wife Nancy Franjul, as well as to Ambassador Dominican in Taiwan, Rafaela Alburquerque, at his private residence.
Thanked the u000acooperation of Dominican volunteers to the Tzu Chi Foundation and said that more contributors, need so that Dominican Republic works are in his hands, and to assist the citizens of neighbouring countries in cases of emergency or needs. He recalled the active and immediate assistance provided these volunteers in Haiti during the earthquake of 2010 and said the same can be done elsewhere where human beings need aid and charity for others.
Before the hearing, the Dominican delegation made a tour of the hospital and the Buddhist temple that the Foundation has built in this city in the East of Taiwan, on the shores of the Pacific, and participated in a briefing on the work carried out by that institution in all continents.
