Burst water pipe angers residents in Puerto Plata.

The water main at the junction of Separacin and Salom Urea has been burst for some time, despite the protestations and growing frustration of the local community.
Germain Castillo, local resident, complained about the lack of action and negligence by officials, technicians and members of repair crews, from the Water and Sewerage Corporation of Puerto Plata (CORAAPLATA). He noted the difficulties experienced in getting enough water to other areas while thousands of gallons disappear down the roads in his district.
Castillo also pointed out that the leak was so bad it was lifting the asphalt from the road, making problems for drivers as well as local.
Owners of businesses in the area have also been complaining to (CORAAPLATA) but to no avail as yet.
