Cabarete killer arrested

Puerto Plata police have announced that they have arrested a man suspected of killing the Italian, Paolo Giucastro in Cabarete on January 19.

Jose Lisandro Moreta from La Cienega in Cabarete was arrested in Wednesday afternoon and positively identified by the victim�s mother, 72 year-old Garbrielacalla Mary Cabagwe, who says she saw him arguing with her son moments before he was brutally murdered in their home in Cabarete.

34 year-old Moreta denies the allegations.

Brigadier General Rinel Rafael Lozada Montas and Colonel Nels�n Ara�jo stated that Moreta has an extensive list of previous convictions for offenses committed in the Cabarete-Sosua area.

General Montas also indicated that they are responding hard to crimes in the area to preserve the security of tourists and residents on the North Coast, and to ensure that all cases are resolved within 24 hours.
