Canada�s Head of State arrives to meet Fernandez

The Governor General of Canada, Michaelle Jean, arrived in The Dominican Republic today after visiting Haiti. Jean was born in Haiti and emigrated to America in 1968. She has held the post of governor general since 2005. She was in Haiti in her capacity as Governor General of Canada and to represent the British monarch.

Her agenda in this country includes a meeting with President Fernandez and the declared purpose according the Canadian ambassador, Todd Kuiack is to strengthen relations between the two countries.

She is accompanied by her husband Jean-Daniel Lafond, and in addition to meeting with Fernandez, she will attend meetings with business leaders, NGOs and also visit places of interest in the city of Santo Domingo, said a note from the embassy.

It is so nice that she can come here on CDN tax payers dollars to do absolutely nothing. I hope she brings up the topic of why so many Canadian people have been cheated out of hundreds of millions of dollars on real estate deals that the DR gov could solve in 2 days if they got off their corrupt butts. On the East coast to mention a few Cap Cana, Punta Perla, Roco Key, Las Dunas, Mar Azul. The list is endless of corrupt developers that this country allows to operate in. If Michelle Jean wants to justify her expense to CDN people in the DR she would bring this up. If not she should just go back home and screw the CDN taxpayer out of more luxury vacations and more dollars.
