Canadian arrested at airport with US$20,000

John Frederick Forbes, 31, was arrested as he was about to board his Air Canada flight to Toronto. He was taken to the Office of Information and Co-ordination Center (CICC), where he and his baggage were thoroughly searched. He was found to be carrying US$20,600 and RD$9,820.
Forbes, with his cash, was later handed over to Customs officers at the airport.
