Canadian murdered in Caribe Campo, Sosua

Police are investigating the murder of a Canadian man, found dead on Friday in his apartment in Sosua.

The body of 68 year-old Marcel G.Adam from Toronto, who had lived in the area for several years, was found by a friend in his apartment at the Caribe Campo complex. Mr Adam owned five apartments in the Caribe Campo residence and conducted business in the area.

According to local reports, the cause of death is presumed to be a blow to the head, and may be related to robbery. Security guards at the apartments say that Mr Adam was often seen taking local girls back to his apartment.

Due to the condition of the body, it is thought the murder may have happened several days earlier.
