Citi supports women entrepreneurs project

Citi Dominican Republic, along with Junior Achievement and Adopem, carries out the project "Women entrepreneurs", which mixes elements of business development, financial and capacities of microfinance that allow these women develop and become economically independent.

According to press release, with the vision of improving the self-esteem, sense of belonging and commitment of women, so the project is intended to develop the entrepreneurial capacity of women and marginalized communities of Dominicans, encouraging them to use the credit of solidary and responsible for the development of their families and the community.

Is aimed at the formation of 1,200 women, of which 400 between 18 and 45 years have received training in the initial phase of the project. In December 2011, 286 of these women already renewed its credit with Adopem and other 51 have opened for the first time your credit. This was made possible by the u000ataught teachings based on budget implementation, management of personal finances and the importance of saving.
