Civil Defense reported no damage so far in Ocoa, Baní and San Cristobal

Viewed 27 times.The Civil Defense in the provinces of Ocoa, Peravia (Baní) and San Cristobal, has received no reports of damage caused by the earthquake of 5.3 degrees that morning today affected the country, as reported by the regional director of the entity, Nayobi Mejía.
The officer of the relief organization said that you contacted representatives of the three provinces and they were told that so far they had not received reports of damage, but that does not obstantes conducting an inspection of roads and buildings to give information more detailed.
Mejia reported that the entity relief teams were alerted to take action as soon necessary as it is considered that an earthquake of that magnitude should be monitored in order to take the measures in place in the event that it is necessary.
The tembror of 5.3 which had its epicentre in the Ocoa province originated in the telluric fault which has the same name and others u000aopportunities has caused tremors, but of lesser magnitude.
The officer said that they are receiving the recommendations of the entity at the national level to act in coordination where it is necessary to do so in areas where it is considered that they could have happened.
