Clash leaves five people dead

Five people were killed yesterday Sunday morning and at least three were injured in a spectacular accident where were implicated three vehicles on the highway Duarte at the entrance of Canabacoa, leaving a wide trail of mourning and pain in several communities in the eastern part of this municipality.

The deceased, which some media spoke of six, but that the authorities did not confirm, are Gina really Czech, Esmorlyn Ramos, Wessin Nikauly Ventura, Virgilio Grullón and Braulio García.

The police in Santiago offered no details about the collision, but one of the drivers involved in the incident, Winston Herrera, said he was driving his vehicle coming from Santo Domingo, along with two sisters and another person, but that arriving at the entrance of Canabacoa intervened you in reckless form a chariot where carrying five people.

The driver, who was yesterday in a detention centre in this city for the purpose of prosecution, he said that no u000aHe was unable to prevent the clash and the impacted vehicle collided with a third party belonging to a company of taxis of Santiago of the Knights.

Three people, including two sisters of Herrera, were detained in a facility of this city.
