Climate of solidarity in delivery of University

President Leonel Fernandez opened yesterday in the North of Haiti, a University donated by the Dominican State to the neighboring country, in a show of solidarity two years after the devastating earthquake that left almost 250,000 dead and one and half million homeless.

"It is an act of love, it is an aspiration for progress and prosperity for the people of Haiti," said Representative Dominican.

The University complex, built with an investment of more than US $ 30 million, was delivered by the representative to his Haitian counterpart Michel Martelly, in a ceremony which was attended by almost the entire Cabinet of Fernandez, Haitian authorities and representatives of the community international

"The main wealth of Haiti is in their own people, especially in youth which only expected an opportunity," said Fernandez, who was applauded by young Haitians, including a group of that country who studies at Dominican University.
