Copardom calls for preserving the conquests of SS

The President of the employers Confederation of Dominican Republic (Copardom), Jaime González Hernández, called to preserve the achievements of the social security which is an asset of the company, above any interests particularly.

"The Dominican Social security system was designed for people, workers, not for the interests of any sector in particular be it private or public," said González Hernández.

It was considered that the system has become the greatest conquest of the democratic era so it should be avoided to interested groups do fail, preventing the entry into force of the first level of care that will allow eficienciar the system and control costs.

"We cannot allow that groups interested in its own benefits are more in the society betting on the failure of the Social security system with a campaign of disinformation to the population, causing the" u000a"chaos and confusion to members about the benefits of the first level of care as a gateway to the health services," said the President Copardom in a note information.

Current pressure from lenders, he said, corresponds to fear to disappear the irritating privileges which today cause harm to members of the system.

Gonzalez said that there are levels of care in all systems of social security. "Preventive health promotion is pending in the country and with myopia providers want to prevent change the health profile," said.
