Corner Martínez: PRSC should refrain

Dr. Rodolfo corner Martínez, Member of the political Commission of the Social Christian Reformist Party (PRSC), raised yesterday that that organization is not involved in next May's elections, claiming that there are no conditions to do so.

Corner Martínez, who was doctor Dr. Joaquín Balaguer, Secretary of finance and general manager of national property, proposed that instead of presenting a candidature, the PRSC should starting already work to win the election of the 2016.

"We must not make an alliance with any party, or put forward candidates in 2012, and then take a good candidate in 2016, because being a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic is not a game," said the ruling politician.

Recalled that the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD) declined to participate in the elections of 1974 and returned in 1978 and won these elections with candidate Silvestre Antonio Guzmán u000aFernández.
