Country worsens in social inequality

La Dominican Republic "lost nine positions" which means social inequality "mainly due to the inequalities of income and education, according to the world on 2011 human development report, published by the programme of the United Nations for development (UNDP).

However, according to the same report, Dominican Republic increased its human development index, in two positions in the world of 187 countries, ladder and occupies the position 24 of 33 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The report, submitted last night at the Auditorium of the Universidad Católica of Santo Domingo, indicates that in education abroad is located at position 20 among the 29 countries of Latin America and the position 88 of 187 countries.

Haiti is the country of America with the lowest human development index, while Barbados, Argentina and Chile are part of the Group of Nations of very high HDI human.
