Dies during the competition "70.3 Ironman" Argentine triathlete

a 31-year-old Argentine triathlete died yesterday while participating in the "Ironman 70.
3" of Pucón, in the South of Chile, apparently because of a cardiac, reported the organizers.
The ill-fated athlete was identified as Ivan Páez, who suffered the attack at the stage of cycling of the test, involving nearly 900 competitors from 18 countries.
The ' Ironman 70.3 "includes 1,900 meters of swimming in the waters of the Villarrica Lake, about 760 kilometers from Santiago, 90 km cycling and 21 kilometers from race to foot.
Of the total participants, approximately 170 are Argentine, according to the organizers of the test, which gives thirty places for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship to be held in Las Vegas, USA.
According to sources, Ivan Páez was helped by the helicopter's competition, but died while he was being transferred to hospital in the town of Pucón. EFE
