Dominican army sergeant arrested with 1kg cocaine

A spokesman for the  National Drug Control (DNCD) in the north reported that agents of the agency, with the cooperation of the Haitian National Police, had made 2 arrests in Dajab�n in the North West of the country.

He said an Army sergeant and a Haitian national were seized with a kilo of cocaine.

Rojas explained that the sergeant, Junior Reyes Matos was arrested in a public park in Dajab�n when he collected the drugs from a Haitian, Antonio Yanc.

Yanc fled across the border but was arrested by the Haitian National Police and extradited to the Dominican Republic.
