Dr ratifies Convention on trafficking in minors and requests to observe elections

The Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic to the Organization of the American States (OAS), Roberto Saladin, deposited the instrument of accession of the country in that body to the Inter-American Convention on international traffic in minors of 18 March 1994.
Diplomat was awarded the international document during a meeting with the Secretary-General of the OAS, José Miguel Insulza, under the instructions of President Leonel Fernandez.
So informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a press release which indicates Saladin gave also a solitude to the OAS to observe the elections in May next.
"On the instructions of the Chancellor Carlos Morales Troncoso, Saladin also delivered the communication dated 4 November 2011, the President of the Central Electoral Board, Dr. Roberto Rosario Márquez, which extends an invitation to the OAS to" u000adesignated by a mission of electoral observers in the General presidential elections to be carried out on 20 May of 2012 "says note.
