Drought becomes a cattle problem

Argentine agriculture, Norberto Yauhar, Minister yesterday announced the call for Thursday of the Committee on emergency agricultural to analyze the severe drought plaguing the country and causing serious consequences in the crops of corn and soybeans.
"The idea is that the Commission will continue to work after the first encounter and from there evaluate what mechanisms are the most propitious for this moment." "We are going to work surgically and reach all affected areas and producers who need it most", noted Yauhar in a communiqué.
The Minister had announced on Thursday aid by some US$ 3.5 million for small-scale farmers in Santa Fe, Buenos Aires, Córdoba and La Pampa province affected by the drought, but contributions were considered insufficient by the employer, which next week intend do assemblies.
