Drug traffickers infiltrating the police into Mexico

An officer of the armed forces yesterday assured Thursday that the newly defunct municipal police of the Mexican port of Veracruz was heavily marbling, mainly because of Los Zetas drug cartel.
The naval, official not authorized to be identified for reasons of security, said that it could take months to replace some 800 police officers and 300 administrative staff members of the police Intermunicipal Veracruz-Boca del Río, whose extinction was announced on Wednesday Wednesday past.
