Dutchman and American arrested for drugs offences
posted on: Apr 16 2010 9:8 by Royston. Viewed 733 times.A Dutchman was arrested at Punta Cana airport trying to board a flight to Belgium, carrying a large amount of cocaine in the sole of his shoes and 90 capsules in his stomach, according to a report from National Drug Control Agency (DNCD).

The accused was named as Lorenzo Augusto Geerman and he was apprehended by DNCD agents assigned to the airport as he was waiting to board flight JAF606 for Brussels. He voluntarily revealed he had 90 capsules in his stomach as well as the drugs hidden in the shoes.
He was immediately taken to a medical center, where he underwent the relevant examinations and from there he was taken to the Hospital Nuestra Seora de la Altagracia in Higuey to have the drug packets removed. Members of the Center of Information and Joint Coordination (CICC) are carrying out investigations to establish who hired Geerman.
In a separate operation in Higuey, the DNCD have arrested another 16 individuals on drugs offences..
The latest report from the East Division of the DNCD also reveals that agents arrested an American, Farley Brigman, together with a Dominican, Darius Robles. The two were taken into custody at the 'Los Tres Palos " bar on the road from Higuey to El Seibo.
