Everything ready in Haiti to inaugurate University

On a plain covered with a green mantle an impressive structure concrete attempts to emulate the greatness of the reign of Henri Christophe, the Haitian monarch that already in the 19th century had intended this place for the purpose that would be two centuries more afternoon.

The Dominican Ambassador also highlighted the intrinsic value of the work, because that will benefit thousands of young Haitians who were crossing the border to study at a University.

Two months after the earthquake, which caused 222,570 dead, a u000amillion three hundred thousand victims and material damage by 7,900 million in Haiti, President Fernandez announced that Dominican Republic would build a University in Haiti, as a contribution of their nation after the tragedy suffered by the people Haitian.
The University venue is on the grounds that in 1815 Christophe set aside to build a University called Academie Royale, as part of the works carried out during the height of its mandate and that included the impressive military complex La Citadelle, the Summit of a mountain on the North coast of Haiti, and the Palace of Sans Souci, which was headquarters of his Government.
