Fernandez congratulated the President of Taiwan on his recent reelection

The President of the Republic, Leonel Fernández, yesterday congratulated his counterpart from the Republic of China (Taiwan), Ma Ying-jeou on his recent election victory to lead, in second presidential term the destinations in the Republic of China (Taiwan), during the period 2012-2016

Fernández in communication to express Taiwanese President "on behalf of the Dominican people and on my own, will extend my most effusive congratulations on the occasion of his recent election victory to lead, in second presidential term, the destinations in the Republic of China (Taiwan), during the period 2012-2016", referred to a review of the website of the Presidency.

Terms of Taiwan has shown its social and institutional strengthening through the free exercise of suffrage, assumed with fortitude by their fellow citizens in the recent presidential and legislative elections, to build it, in its historical evolution, experiences u000aDemocratic strengthen peaceful coexistence and encourage the development of that nation.

"In this context, it is appropriate to highlight the historic ties of friendship that unite our two Nations, hoped that it will continue tightening is based on brotherhood and solidarity, highly appreciated by Dominican Republic", add the text of the letter sent by President Fernández his colleague Taiwan.

The head of State in his letter to the President of Taiwan indicates that "through him, I extend my congratulations to members of the KMT".
