Fernandez: I will act as the guarantor of democracy

President Leonel Fernandez said yesterday that he is committed to act as guarantor and guardian of the democratic State and law in Dominican Republic during the elections of March 20.

At the same time Fernandez described this as crucial year so that the country remains that State's democratic right enjoyed by the Dominicans. He said that as always, it will be respectful of outcomes issued by the Dominican people at the ballot box.

"We are now in the year 2012, is a crucial year because it represents the challenge of the choice of the new representative for the period 2012-2016 for Dominican democracy" And my commitment will always be the be a guarantor and a guardian of the democratic State and law of the Dominican Republic; "for thus, always respectful of the results issued by the Dominican people at the polls," said the head of State.
