Figueroa Agosto in court Monday, but not on drugs charges

As had been originally scheduled, the long time fugitive and alleged drug trafficker, Jos Figueroa Agosto, known as "Junior Cpsula", will appear in court next Monday, August 30. He will appear before the presiding judge of the Federal Court in Puerto Rico, Jos Fust, but under motion of acceptance of guilt filed yesterday by his lawyers.
Figueroa Agosto is charged with providing false information and forged documents to obtain a passport under the name of Angel F. Rosa Rivera. He will be represented by his counsel, Yesenia Vzquez Torres, who will press for conviction as a misdemeanor and request a sentence on probation.
Lawyers Fernando Carlo and Alex Omar Rosa Aubert, Agosto's legal representatives, submitted the motion on Tuesday afternoon.
Figueroa Agosto has been linked with multi-million dollar drug trafficking but no charges relating to narcotics offenses have yet been brought against him..
