Interviewed by Héctor Herrera Cabral in the Programme D'AGENDA which airs every Sunday by Telesistema Canal 11, Castaños Guzmán recalled that the structures of organized crime are kept intact, moving from one region to another, and are very attractive political activity. It was stressed that, even without the existence of the law u000apolitical parties, the electoral tribunal can monitor the economic contributions that receive these entities.
"But the truth is that we are concerned that drug trafficking and organized crime can penetrate the parties in the current electoral contest," said.
Castaños Guzmán did not rule out that the drug also extended its tentacles to the organizations of civil society, as it has happened in other Nations.
On the conflict that has resulted in the JCE, the lawyer said the Finjus appreciates the mediation that is making the Catholic Church with the political parties so that this impasse will be resolved as before.
Castaños Guzmán called for organizations of civil society to be part of the solution and not of the conflict in the Court of elections.
