Foreign Ministry says it is 'surprised'

The Foreign Ministry reported that it has not received any diplomatic communications from Fisher or any other Ambassador accredited in the country to express a complaint regarding the alleged difficulties experienced by investors setting up business projects.
The Ministry lamented that Britain's Ambassador had "not used diplomatic channels to express their anger at the country and had preferred slide a delicate concern through the media, which, surely could have been dealt with through the appropriate channels".
Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Relations, Carlos Morales Troncoso, denounced statements by Fisher and described them as "diplomatic recklessness and irresponsibility".
He alleges that the Dominican Government has sent complaints through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the Houses of Commons and the Lords of London, because it is not the first time he says Ambassador Fisher has committed "diplomatic negligence".
