Foundation Launches crusade against the rise of violence

The Committee National Foundation of Social defence for the poor sectors (Conadefspo) began a comprehensive programme on the occasion of its "first national crusade for social violence" since yesterday.

The President of the entity, Wilkins Ledesma, appreciated the initiative and said that the day will include conferences, training courses, congresses, forums, symposiums, seminars, walks, distribution of food and operating doctors.

Called for society to support the day and recalled that it is a commitment of all to ensure public safety. "I invite all the living forces of the nation, personalities and companies of goodwill to contribute to this cause", he added.

While, Professor Rafael Guzman, Vice-President Conadefspo, pointed out that local schools, churches, neighbourhood groups, trade unions, multipurpose, will be used to carry out activities State institutions, private companies and community. He said that u000aConadefspo will exhaust all resources that are necessary to ensure the success of this campaign.

Guzman said that currently the safety of the Dominican people is experiencing disturbing, omens product of the enormous wave of violence that threatens the peace of the population.
