The seized drugs, which were an "enormous" quantity, said French media today, were discovered last week in the garage of an apartment in the XII district of the capital, Paris.
"The investigation is ongoing and in the hands of a judge", so for now we cannot provide the identities of four arrested, police added.
The drugs from cartels in Colombia and Venezuela, was forwarded to Paris from the Dominican Republic, which French police now believe to have become the "primary platform" for shipping cocaine into Europe, say the media.
The French Central Anti-Narcotic Trafficking Office (OCRTIS), which conducted the investigation and found the apartment in Paris believes that the network has similar places in other big cities.
Specifically they believe, in Madrid and Amsterdam, according to an article in "Le Parisien" noting also that this finding is a "record amount" of cocaine found in the heart of Paris.
OCRTIS found the stash iwhile investigating a company that imports materials to make dance shoes by plane to the Charles de Gaulle-Roiss Airport in Paris.
