Gas truck explodes in Esperanza

A propane truck unloading at a restaurant in Esperanza, Valverde province, exploded Thursday afternoon.. The blast caused considerable damage to nearby shops and businesses but so far there are no reports of fatalities.
According to information provided by the local Mayor, Nao Mena, the fire completely destroyed the restaurant as well as several houses on Esperanza main street.
He explained to local media that firefighters from Santiago, Navarrete, Mao and other places had attended the scene.
