German resident dies of heart attack in Sosua

A German tourist, Winfried Karl Caross, aged 69 was found dead in his home in Villa Emmanuel near Sosua, at about 11:00am yesterday morning.

Neighbors notified police after being concerned that Mr Caross was not up and about.

Medical examiner, Doctor Freddy Salazar ruled that Mr Caross had died of a heart attack around one hour before he was discovered.

Police authorities ordered the body be taken to the Regional Institute of Forensic Pathology in Santiago in order to confirm the real cause of death.
