Hilton to open third Hotel in the Dominican Republic

The Hilton Worldwide chain of hotels recently announced an agreement to operate its “Embassy Suites by Hilton” brand in Santo Domingo.
The 200-suite facility will open during the 2012 second trimester as part of the Silversun Commercial Gallery, a shopping center which will soon be inaugurated in the country’s capital city.
The suites will feature a sitting area, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen with microwave oven, mini-refrigerator, and two television sets.
It will also offer guests a fitness center, a business center and conference and meeting rooms.
The Embassy Suites Santo Domingo will be the second hotel in the Dominican Republic to feature this brand.
There already is an Embassy Suites by Hilton Los Marlins Hotel & Golf Resort in Metro Country Club, a 125-room facility in Juan Dolio, situated some 45 minutes east of Santo Domingo.
The chain’s third hotel is the Hilton Santo Domingo, situated in the capital city’s most important seaside avenue.
The 228-room hotel is located on George Washington Avenue, facing the Caribbean Sea. The new hotel is scheduled to open during the second quarter of 2013, in one of Santo Domingo’s most upscale and centrally located neighborhoods.
The hotel’s 200 suites will feature a living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen area equipped with microwave, mini-fridge, coffeemaker, and two flat-screen TV sets.
The facility will offer guests a fitness and business center.
Some 16,000 square feet of meeting and conference rooms, ballrooms and lounge will be an added attraction to the hotel. An additional four thousand square feet of outdoor space will also be an important plus for the city hotel.
The Silversun mall is a three-level shopping center featuring shops, five cinemas, a food court, playground, and five underground parking levels.
